Slab on Grade for House in Grand Rapids MI - Can I get Prefab form kits & Assistance easily?
I am preparing to build a house in Grand Rapids MI and believe a slab on grade foundation is best suited. do you work here or can you supply a kit and assistance to a local builder? The house will probably have a partial basement but the slab section, ideally with your hot air radiant heat system, would be about 1000 square feet.
There is only one manufacturer of slab on grade form kits with air heated floors that we know of, the company is Legalett, they distribute in Canada and the US. If you provide them with final building plans and structural details they will in turn provide you with stamped engineering drawings for your slab as well as step by step installation directions. They also provide training courses (in Ontario only I think, so it may be a bit of travel for you) but I would suggest you contact them as they may have installers in your region.
