Blackwell offers full-service structural engineering services on a consultative basis, covering any or all phases of project models, including schematic design, design development, contract documentation, shop drawings and contract administration, and site visits and reviews. We can also work with you on feasibility studies, peer reviews, and the development of ideas leading to projects using new building technologies or techniques. Our designers and drafting team members work in AutoCAD & Revit. Many of our team members are LEED-accredited.
We don’t specialize in any building type or size. That said, we have developed certain unique capabilities over the years. We are recognized for our exceptional talents in wood design, and we are one of the only engineering firms in Canada to work in tensile (fabric) structures. We also have significant expertise in sustainable building technologies, such as straw bale.
