We are building green on Vancouver Island. I wonder where we can find straw sips?

Finding straw bale SIPs in Canada is tricky at the moment, the only commercial manufacturer we knew of (yes, past tense) has since gone out of business. We have not heard of any company coming in the fill the void unfortunately. It is a pretty nice option for building with straw that is not as labour intensive, and the straight manufactured walls provide a more uniform and modern look than the traditional straw bale homes. Sorry we can’t help, if you do succeed in finding some please let us know, we would love to include them in our pages.
