There are a few ways to soundproof between floors and division walls in a home. Here is a page that explain it -
Controlling sound transmission in homes
Some insulation materials such as fiberglass quietZone batts, Rock wool / mineral wool work great for reducing sound transmission, as does hemp insulation, either in batts or sheets. Since it is likely an open basement ceiling you could put soundproofing batts between the josts, and depending on your leve of irritance at sound and your budget, you could take a few other steps like adding resilient channels and a double layer of drywall for added sound reducction, as seen in this DIY home soundproofing video. That buildling guide video should help, if you'd stil like advice after reading those pages feel free to drop in a question.
