What are the consequences of heat runs in exterior joist space wrapped in poly?
The builder on this 15 year old home ran the heat runs in the exterior joist space, he then insulated against the rim joist and under the heat runs, then wrapped from the mud sill to the underside of the plywood on the interior of the first joist and sealed the poly to the plywood with acoustical caulk, we will now spray foam the concrete walls below up to and over the exposed mud sill to meet the poly he installed.
Will leaving the vapor barrier on the wrong side of the heat runs cause any issues, the joist space is dry and in perfect shape.
Project is in Chilliwack BC
Thank You
Andrew
