What are solar battery storage alternatives?
Hi guys, I came across a Canadian company with a zinc oxide battery storage. They did 40 kW project in BC. Would it be a viable option for an off grid project?

There are new home power storage batteries and solutions hitting the market all the time, and advances in home battery technology is evolving rapidly, specifally in lithium ion as well as salt water batteries. The Italian company Heiwit just released a new home saltwater battery that looks promising, and you can see the latest lithium ion home solar batteries here.
But to speak to your case specifically, what size of project are you talking about? To the best of our knowledge this is, at the moment at least, more of a commercial solution. Are you building an off grid home and looking for a home battery to store solar power?
Tnx for the reply, it's going to be off grid community with 70-80 households in Northern Ontario.
