Environmental mission and strategy (ESG)
Western Reclaimed Timber (WRT) specializes in sourcing environmentally friendly recycled timbers. Every piece of wood has a story, and WRT takes pride in sharing pieces of British Columbia and Vancouver history. WRT’s timbers are recovered primarily from older buildings and industrial structures. Many of the buildings were constructed out of timbers cut from 1st and 2nd generation old growth trees. Salvaging these timbers keeps these precious resources out of our landfills and helps to preserve our remaining old growth forests.
