About
À Hauteur d'homme was created with the ambition to revalorize our wood from here through products of international standard. Our range of custom-made furniture and kitchens allows you to choose the quality, durability and environment for your property. Our integrated team (design, manufacturing and installation) in the same place allows us to precisely meet your needs and achieve your highest expectations.
Our attention to detail and our choice of the best products available aims to give your investments the most value possible.
We are also involved in our community as evidenced by our social purpose project Le Grand Pupitre, carried out in partnership with Les Éditions de La Watermelon. This fall, 30 desks were handed over in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve with the school support organization Je Passe-Partout.
Environmental mission and strategy (ESG)
À Hauteur d'homme has been committed to the environmental plan since its very beginnings.
We replant between 100 and 200 trees each year, in communities through structured projects (Linear Design). We strive to create sustainable furniture, both in the quality of its manufacture and in the design itself. We believe that, in order to last, these two elements are essential.
We made the choice, 4 years ago now, to use only low-emission panels in the manufacture of our kitchens. We offer an eco-friendly finish and we use only top quality materials and hardware. We choose our suppliers to be local and we manufacture everything locally. We work with a professional reintegration company for the manufacture of certain parts. Here are the different ecological points of our company:
We choose our materials according to their quality and provenance.
Our solid wood is locally sourced (Quebec and northeastern United States).
An important part of our solid wood collages are made by young people in professional reintegration (Bois Urbain).
The plywood we use is environmentally friendly.
All our kitchen box panels are low VOC emission. It is now 4 years since we made this decision.
Our finishes are ecological, low or VOC emission-free: water-made polyurethane varnish, Livos oil, mineral oil and beeswax.
All our production is made in Montreal, in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal borough.
We only use high-end hardware components (Blum), made to last.
We offer the solutions adapted to your needs for recycling, composting and for the recovery of pale grey water.
Since our very beginnings, we have been involved in reforestation by replanting between 100 and 200 trees each year. This reforestation is supervised by Arbre-Évolution (Arbre-Evolution.org) located in St-Jean-Port-Joli. All reforestation projects carried out by this organization are considered and carried out so that they can contribute positively to the community.
We limit packaging for our products as much as possible. In direct delivery we pack the products with blankets.
Our designs aim for sustainability, both in use and in aesthetics. We are always looking for innovative and accessible solutions to make our products suitable solutions for as many people as possible.
Our team members live close to the workplace and our main vehicle is a hybrid car. In the summer, we travel by bike.
