Appearance, 2&BTR, Mill Run, 2 Clear, 4 Clear, Reclaimed

Lumber or timber is a type of wood that has been processed into beams and planks – a stage in the wood production process. Mainly used for structural purposes, there are two main types of lumber that are manufactured: rough-sawn and finished lumber. Rough sawn involves a saw that aggressively cuts lumber from a large log, resulting in a “rough sawn” texture, since the surfaces of the boards are rough and sizing is inconsistent. Finished lumber offers a smooth finish and nominal dimensions, as it goes through a planer, and is most commonly used in the construction industry. Primarily softwood lumber and timber(s) are available in many coniferous species including Spruce, Pine, Fir – collectively SPF – Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Hemlock and Western Larch.
