Do prefab homes in Ontario meet building code when contractors assemble them?
I live in Ontario and I'm wondering if it's easy enough for a contractor here to make adjustments to a prefab home when assembling it to make sure it complies with building code.
Additionally, is this like a typical home in that we could add an addition or make changes let's say 20 years down the road if we want to move a wall here or there or does it have to stay the same?

Where to buy prefab homes in Ontario
So as long as your contractor is able to meet any other code requirements, as in basement or slab on grade structural and thermal performance, and any site requirements, you should be more than fine.
You will also need to submit all plans to the city for permitting, so right there you will see if it passes. But the short answer is yes, our houses are able to meet Ontario building code.
