How do I solve below grade moisture problems in crawl spaces? Everyone has different ideas
Hello, living in Atlantic Canada I have cold winters, humid summers. 4ft frost wall, crawl space with a dirt floor. What would you recommend to help keep the moisture out, I notice you didn't like Vapor Barr on the concrete, however wondering if that's just on above grade basement walls. I'm in a high water table as well so it's a great big mess. I'm on my own trying to deal with this mess. I have commercial a dehumidifier, one half a French drain system. My plan was to do the Vapor barrier covering the dirt and up the wall about 12inchs and seam taping. any advice would be greatly appreciated, winter is here and I'm trying to get as much done as possible. If I could do a consultation with someone that would be wonderful. I'd rather pay someone who knows what they are talking about then waste my money and make it worse.
