What type of insulation should I use of a concrete garage floor?

We are converting a garage into a living space (a bedroom) and it currently has bare concrete with a smattering of carpet that looks like it has gone mouldy. What product would you recommend to create a subfloor to stop moisture seeping up from the concrete floor and to insulate to stop cold ingress. The product I have recommended so far is XPS panels
