High-Performance Vancouver Laneway Home

Details, Vancouver (Greater Vancouver)

We are excited to share the outstanding performance results from our recently completed laneway home project in Vancouver. This home achieved a final airtightness test result of 1.0 ACH (Air Changes per Hour), a key metric in high-performance building.

Why is this result significant? A 1.0 ACH rating is more than three times tighter than the minimum required by the BC Building Code, putting it on the path towards the rigorous standards of Passive House construction. This level of airtightness is fundamental to creating a truly sustainable home. It drastically reduces energy loss, which means lower heating and cooling bills, superior thermal comfort without drafts, and excellent indoor air quality through controlled mechanical ventilation.

This project, delivered on schedule in just seven months, is a perfect example of our core philosophy: combining German precision in building science with practical Canadian construction experience. We apply this same meticulous attention to detail to every project, whether it's a new build, a major remodel, or a deep energy retrofit.

Our team specializes in bringing high-performance building solutions to homeowners throughout Vancouver, Langley, Surrey, and the Fraser Valley.
