Blue Sky was born out of a desire to meet the growing building performance needs in Idaho, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond, in a detailed and holistic way. The two founders and principals of the company, Jadd "Brady" Oliver and Sean Rasmussen started Blue Sky after spending many years in the building science industry, learning and gaining experience in virtually every type of built environment. Having built skills and expertise working in the employment of others since the early 1990s, finally in January 2014, the time was right for Brady and Sean to implement their vision of a what a building testing and service company should be about, in Blue Sky Consulting Services. Since then Blue Sky has focused on slow, intentional, growth of both our team and our suite of services. Our initial focus was on building systems commissioning and retro-commissioning within the health care industry, and the highest-quality application of testing, adjusting, and balancing services. As our understanding of buildings has increased, and we've heard from our customers about their needs, our offerings have expanded to include facility condition assessments, fume hood and bio-safety cabinet performance testing, and several other testing and verification disciplines. But we are not done. Blue Sky continues to improve and grow, keeping the focus on quality over quantity, and customer satisfaction over churning out hundreds of sub-standard projects.
