AVCON was established in 1988 in Orlando, Florida with the vision of serving as AViation CONsultants. From its humble beginnings of four employees in a small office in Downtown Orlando AVCON has grown to over 120 highly qualified and dedicated individuals in offices throughout the Southeast. Over the years the firm has added additional services such as transportation and site development engineering for the public and private sectors. AVCON’s capabilities also include facilities projects such as building engineering and operational assessments. AVCON today is a true one-stop-shop for all planning, engineering, and construction management needs. The firm has expert knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Water Management District (WMD) standards and industry specifications and a strong history of implementing “practical design” in its projects. AVCON receives industry recognition and exposure through its award-winning projects and knowledgeable staff. AVCON’s staff presents at several conferences and workshops on relevant topics within the A/E/C industry and implements cost savings and sustainable strategies on projects – resulting in long-lasting design solutions.
