SimmonsSTUDIO Architects LLC was conceived of by founder Bob Simmons as an ideas-based studio focused on wellness + health for both PEOPLE + PLANET: a STUDIO for Living. The practice focuses on sustainable place-making design for campuses and cities, for both private clients and public institutions. The STUDIO is envisioned to create a better model for how architecture is practiced, one that looks to nature for inspiration, to a project’s site to draw meaning from local culture and traditions, to celebrate regional materiality, and to elevate CRAFT to make truly sustainable buildings that can both endure and be adaptable to the future’s challenges. The STUDIO model is nimble, efficient and scale-able by employing a small cadre of cloud-based COLLABORATORS to formulate its internal team. In this way we can take on projects from private homes to large urban planning projects, scaling with experts and ‘project-local’ partners tailored to the design task at hand.
