Erik Brotherton is a Pleasantville, NY based architect designing for the New York Metro area. He has an eclectic portfolio incorporating residential, retail, institutional and commercial projects. Born and raised in Ohio, Erik's formative architectural experience was a synthesis of farm structures, steel mills and a fair share of strip malls. While attending The Ohio State University, he filtered out most of the strip mall influences and began to craft work inspired by the scale, spare geometries, and textures of his collective contexts. After graduating Cum Laude 1997, Erik passed on visions of palm trees and sand, and made his way to New York City. He attended and received his Masters Degree from Columbia University in 2001. Erik spent the next ten years working in a handful of forward thinking firms, learning the business of architecture and acquiring diverse experiences that allowed him to start his own practice in 2010. Erik is licensed to practice architecture in the state of New York. Services: Providing a full range of architectural, interior, sustainable design services as well as consulting for the industry. Erik works directly with his clients to define the context and explore the scope of their specific design needs. The ultimate goal being a unique space delivered on time and on budget. Team: Erik is always looking for potential collaborators to add to his skilled team of engineers, fabricators, designers and poets. If you have a project of any type or size please contact the studio.
