Some are the fun parts: selecting the finish materials; other more critical issues are permit applications, and meeting Energy Code requirement. The input from both the Trade Partners, you (the Client), guides the scope of the project. Custom Home Builder: at NCC we take your ideas, or plans, and build YOUR home. We have no pre-set menus to choose from. We have the experience to meet the demands of unusual projects, as well as finding solutions for your truly Custom project! - Frequently the homes we build are in rural settings. Custom Remodels: In the past couple years, we've spent more time at Home and what was functional, may no longer be desirable. Some of the common remodels address needs to "Age-in-Place" enabling Homeowners to live at home as long as possible. Another common remodel addresses the fact that it just might be time to change things up and refresh some hard working spaces. Sustainable Building Systems: Foundational principal guiding our building practice is to build the best shell that the client can afford. You can't show the shell off like the lovely new Kitchen counter top. But the best shell will payback: in comfort and lower energy costs. The Energy Code does mandate some of these practices. Solar Design: Currently a good answer to meeting Energy Code; many projects just lend themselves to a Solar System.
