Steve Haizlip established New Leaf Creations in the year 2000, while finishing his undergraduate degree in Landscape Architecture in the College of Art and Architecture at the University of Idaho. Steve spent time working for both large and small landscape architecture & planning firms in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving back home to the Pacific Northwest. He has combined his love for design, his deep knowledge of plant materials, and his experience in site planning to create a client-focused, full-service landscape design and build company—New Leaf Creations. Steve spends most of his week meeting directly with clients, drafting landscape designs, and hand-selecting plants, shrubs, flowers and trees for placement and installation. He truly is hands on with all steps of the landscape design and installation process. Steve also serves the local community as a high school varsity basketball coach and youth sports program director. He lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife Kristen; their three sons Milo, Cole, and Owen; and their three dogs Snoop, Seri, and Ken.
