Building Envelope Technology & Research, Inc. (BET&R) is a quality-oriented technical consulting, design, and testing firm that specializes in the exterior of buildings, specifically roofing, waterproofing, wall cladding, fenestration, sealant, and coatings technology and other aspects of building envelope science and research. BET&R provides high quality, thorough, building envelope consulting services customized for each repair, retrofit, or new construction project and endeavors to provide unbiased, technically rigorous assistance to benefit the project. Building Envelope Technology & Research was established in 1997 as a professional roofing, waterproofing, and cladding consulting firm. In 1998, BET&R grew, the firm became an S Corporation. Soon after its inception, BET&R expanded its in-situ testing services to include laboratory testing, materials research and consulting, and design for other aspects of the exterior of building envelope systems, such as fenestration (e.g., window and door) systems, and the related flashings and sealants.
