The UNIQUE/PERENY division of HED is the successor, through acquisition, of the Unique Kiln Company founded in 1948 by Mr. Harry Ratcliffe in Trenton, New Jersey and the Pereny Furnace Company founded in 1933 by Mr. Andrew Pereny in Columbus, Ohio. Today, with many hundreds of kilns, furnaces and other thermal systems in operation worldwide, the UNIQUE/PERENY brand is recognized as the leader in quality and reliability by the worlds foremost industrial, research, education and governmental institutions. Pro-Cast Tapecasters The PRO-CAST Division has pioneered the development of continuous thick film/tape and web coating production systems which are in widespread use in manufacturing electronic components and advanced materials. Proprietary technology has enabled our customers to set international standards in the production of millions of square inches of thin tape cast ceramic, metal and composite products. Pro-Melt Systems The PRO-MELT Division designs and manufactures state of the art electric and fuel fired non-ferrous melting furnaces. Electric resistance heated furnaces feature fully supported, easy to maintain heating elements and high efficiency, low mass insulating materials. This combination offers long life and low cost operation. Fuel fired furnaces utilize ISOMAX multi-fuel burner technology combined with durable, light weight refractories to offer faster recovery rates and greater fuel efficiency. Blue Flame Technology The BLUE FLAME Division specializes in thermal technology and manufactures ISOMAX gas and oil burner systems. The novel operating principle of these burners is based on over 30 international patents. These burners automatically gasify a wide range of liquid fuels providing an energy efficient, short, clean blue flame. Burner packages are complete functioning systems supplied to a diverse group of customers throughout the world.
