Smoke Guard, incorporated in 1991, was an independent company manufacturing smoke containment systems for elevator openings until it was acquired by RectorSeal Corporation in September 2004. In 2009, the company expanded its product offering to include flexible fire and smoke curtain systems for a variety of building openings.
