Is Drywall needed for under T&G on a wall?

...foam board (because they were pre-studded) then batt installation.  The exterior walls are exposed on the outside.  I run a dehumidifier during summer months and a wood stove in winter months.  I am in zone 5.  I am just a little unsure if i should install drywall before installing the T&G, any advice?  Thank You  ...

How do you insulate the exterior of a brick house?

...foam panel to the exterior would likely cause that trapping of moisture you are already aware of as foam will act as a vapor barrier. First here is our page about how to insulate the exterior or walls. I think a safer bet for you would be using something like mineral wool rigid insulation panels.
