President/ Owner
Cameron Ungar is the founder and driving force behind Trash and Stash, bringing a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on leadership to Fort Mill, South Carolina. Relocating from San Diego to the Carolinas in 2018 with his family, Cameron sought a better quality of life, which inspired the launch of Trash and Stash in 2021. With nearly 15 years in the events industry—managing stadiums, arenas, and sustainability programs—he turned pandemic-induced opportunity into a mission-driven business focused on junk removal and community impact.
Cameron’s expertise in operations, team building, and customer experience shines through in Trash and Stash’s B-Corp certified model, which has diverted 413,506 lbs of waste from landfills in 2025 (as of July). A certified content marketer and network security enthusiast, he’s also a proud supporter of local causes, including the Isabella Santos Foundation. My professional journey has always been guided by the belief that business should be a force for good. As the founder of Trash and Stash, I’ve worked to shape a company that not only provides reliable junk removal services but also serves as a catalyst for sustainability in our community.
A cornerstone of that effort has been leading Trash and Stash through the rigorous process of achieving B-Corp certification, making us the first junk removal company in the U.S. to earn this distinction. This certification reflects our commitment to transparency, accountability, and environmental stewardship—and it holds us to the highest standards as we pursue our goal of 100% landfill diversion.
In addition to business certifications, I’m proud that our work has been recognized by the broader community. In 2025, Trash and Stash was honored as Sustain Charlotte’s “Most Inspiring Small Business”, an award that validates our mission to innovate within the waste industry and inspire others to adopt circular practices.
Every professional choice I make—whether it’s developing new reuse and resale channels, investing in diversion tracking, or training our team to prioritize donation and recycling—ties back to a single purpose: leading our community to circularity. By keeping valuable resources in use and minimizing what ends up in the landfill, I believe we can build a cleaner, more resilient future for the Carolinas and beyond.
