Our Philosophy... Beautifully designed spaces welcome us, surprise us with their thoughtful details, and support a more balanced life. We believe that life is better with great design and a well designed home is a sanctuary that can renew us each day. We find that a well designed public space allows everyone to feel welcome and caters to our commonalities. As we work together, we explore how you currently live to see how a well designed home could make your life more uncomplicated, more enjoyable and more efficient. A thoughtful approach leads to a better and more beautiful design, customized and tailored to you. Good design is also sustainable design and we make a commitment to our clients, our community and our environment to be eco-conscious in our design practices. Our Purpose... Laura is a LEED AP and a GREEN AP which means she has completed rigorous sustainability training and demonstrated extensive knowledge of and dedication to sustainable design practices. This includes everything from sourcing fair trade and renewable resources and donating unwanted furnishings to optimizing energy efficiency and indoor air quality, and recycling cabinetry and building materials. We make design decisions and selections that encourage the sustainability of our planet's resources so responsible and high quality vendors, manufacturers, products and services are always given priority. These practices lead us to designing a home or public space that is both enjoyable and healthy for you while being considerate of our environment. We are committed to donating our time and resources to local charities such as the The Children’s Home, the Catonsville Women's Giving Circle and Second Chance, and can also coordinate the donation of your unwanted household goods and furnishings. Most recently we facilitated the donation of a full kitchen and three bathrooms during a renovation, and we also designed a new cafe for The Children’s Home, coordinating both donated and discounted goods and services to help bring the design to life.
