Chris Laggis was born in Ketchum, Idaho where he and his 3 siblings were raised. He cut his teeth on custom residential construction at a young age, beginning his apprenticeship in the trade in 1987 working for a well known, high-end custom home builder in Ketchum. Having earned a degree in Architecture in 1995 from the NAAB accredited University of Idaho, he moved to Crested Butte, Colorado where he began designing and building custom homes. After many years working full time in the field, he became a master roof framer, an accomplished timber framer, and a highly skilled finish carpenter. He moved into the office in 2016 where he continues to refine his craft as a creative Architect, a very thorough and hands-on general contractor, and a detail oriented construction manager. He excels at helping his clients realize their visions and expectations in a design, and bringing the best out of his crews and sub-contractors. His leadership skills are a key component to his success as a design/build contractor. In addition to being a licensed, NCARB certified Architect, he holds a Class A contractors license-the top tier in contractor licensing-which not only means his company can build any structure allowed by the building code, but that he understands how to interpret and implement the code. When not at work he is most likely skiing, mountain biking, trail running, or hunting somewhere in the West Elk Mountains with his wife, 2 kids, and dogs.
