Paul Hardison CBO, RA, NCARB, LEED AP, attended the University of Illinois at Chicago graduating in 1994. He has been working throughout the Chicago area since 1989, typically managing special projects for mid sized architectural firms until 2004 when he opened Anthem Architects in November of 2004 and then started working under his name in 2014. In 2016 He became the Building Commissioner for the City of Palos Hills, Illinois, and has become an ICC certified Building Official and Plans Reviewer. In 2021 Paul moved to Lakewood Colorado and became the Building official of that City, and in December of 2023 returned to practicing architecture full time. Since 2004 he has designed hundreds of projects around Illinois and Ohio. Many of his clients are General Contractors who appreciate the quality and level of detail provided in his drawings and the level of advocacy that he exercises representing his clients. Paul also designs with the environment in mind, advocating green technologies and practices to provide his clients with a more economical final product. Paul Hardison is A Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), and is National Council of Architectural Certification Boards Certified (NCARB). As a former Building Official, Paul understands what Building Departments are looking for in drawings, and understands Codes and code amendments.
