When Osterlund Architects was founded in 2008, most available design work for a new architecture firm involved big ideas and small-scale retail. Principal Architect and Founder Andrew Osterlund spent a lot of time in coffee shops, in meetings and introductions, talking about the firm’s goals for design and for community. Without community, there is no architecture. Before someone searches “architecture firms near me,” there is need for a community center near me, or a coffee shop near me, or a church near me, or a learning center near me, or parks and pools near me, or apartments and amenities near me.
