Peter William Dougherty, AIA, LEED AP, is founder and principal of Peter William (pwilliam.com), an architecture, planning, and interior design practice based in Washington, D.C. The practice is committed to realizing top value for clients; to strengthening cities, campuses, and historic contexts for their constituents and neighbors; and to accelerating low- and net-zero-carbon solutions to the global climate crisis. Among other significant projects, Peter was lead designer for Amazon HQ2 phase 1 (Metropolitan Park), delivering 2023, with Clark Construction. Peter received his Master of Architecture degree in 2002 from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and became a LEED AP in 2006. Prior to forming his own practice, he was a collaborator in the Basel office of Herzog & de Meuron.
