In 2009, Thomas and Kristina began building their own home in Chelsea, Quebec, designing it to meet the Passive House standard and operate entirely on solar power. The experience of designing and constructing their own high-performance home inspired them to establish Netzero Construction in 2011. Since then, the company has specialized in building custom Passive House and net-zero homes throughout the Outaouais region, delivering high-efficiency homes for more than a decade.
As construction costs continued to rise, they recognized the need for a more efficient and scalable approach to building high-performance homes. This led to the creation of Netzero Structures, a company focused on manufacturing factory-built, high-performance wall panels for projects across Canada. By shifting key components of construction into a controlled factory environment, Netzero Structures helps builders achieve predictable results, shorter construction timelines, and superior energy performance.
