We know advanced building systems. Beyond our in-depth knowledge of mass timber and cross-laminated timber (CLT) buildings, our expertise also comprises all aspects of pre-fabricated systems including modular systems and hybrid solutions, all of which enable us to tailor the construction typology that best suits your project. As a builder, Blackbaer also built the very first rammed earth structures in the national capital region: an office studio, a 3 bedroom home built to passive house principles, interior features walls of a modernized restaurant, and oversaw the engineering for a rammed earth farmhouse. Successful projects are achieved in large part from Blackbaer’s roster of outstanding people, drawing from leading engineers and exceptional trades who share our passion for durable quality.
