Tricon has received the award for "Top Quality Truss Producer" in the Northern Interior Region from the Western Wood Truss Association every year since the program's inception in 1992.
History
Tricon's roots go back to 1972, when the first set of prefabricated roof trusses was built in Smithers, BC. By 1974, business had prospered, and doors and windows were added to the production line. In 1975, Tricon Truss & Millwork Ltd was incorporated. Tricon continued to grow through the 80's and 90's, and in 1994 Richard and Kevin Plug bought out their father Peter's business partner, Warn Devries, starting a family run business. In 2008, Peter retired, and his youngest son Michael joined the team.
