Griff Building Supplies has been serving the building and construction industry in Vancouver, the Lower Mainland, and beyond for over 50 years. Started by James Clark Griffiths (known as “Griff”) in 1964, the business quickly established an excellent reputation as a one-stop shop for building supplies.
At Griff Building Supplies, the services and products we offer have been put in place to assist everyone from the multi-family contractor to the do-it-yourselfer. Located in the Queensborough area of New Westminster, our 6.5 acres of stock and 20,000 square foot retail warehouse give you the choice you require and the quality you demand.

Griff Building Supplies will provide quality products to the building supply industry through superior service and commitment to our customers. With on-going training, new product lines, and educational courses for our staff, we will continue to grow and learn for the benefit of our customers.
OUR HISTORY
James Clarke Griffiths, known as Griff, started Griff Building Supplies. Griff was a man of drive, character, and integrity, who had no choice but to make his new business success as he and his wife had sold their home in Burnaby in order to make it happen. With five daughters at home, failure was not an option. From sales to setup, grading lumber to working in the yard, it wasn’t long before Griff bought out his original partners and proudly built the large warehouse. The hard work paid off and Griff Building Supplies experienced rapid growth through the early 1990s, firmly establishing an excellent reputation as one of the reliable building supplies providers in the area.
