IN RESPONSE TO THE GLOBAL CLIMATE CRISIS AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES, SHA IS TRANSFORMING THE PRACTICE OF RETROFITTING EXISTING AND HISTORIC BUILDINGS AS A MEANS TOWARDS CARBON REDUCTION. We view the preservation and re-use of existing and historic buildings as a critical practice due to the embodied carbon they contain and the results of basic life cycle analysis. We work with our clients to arrive at cost-effective solutions to preserve and re-use existing and historic buildings. We conduct a life cycle analysis, exploring options and collaborating on the best design and construction strategies.
