GWA, INC. RECOGNIZED FOR ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE ON HGTC CAMPUS INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT The American Council of Engineering Companies of South Carolina (ACEC-SC) held their annual Engineering Excellence Awards Gala at the Columbia Museum of Art on February 8, 2023. During the Gala, awards were presented to the submitted projects with the highest scores in twelve categories. GWA, Inc. was honored with both an Engineering Excellence Award and a Small Firm award by ACEC-SC for their work on the Horry Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) Grand Strand Campus Infrastructure project. The Grand Strand Campus is HGTC’s largest campus and is home to the College’s Workforce Development Division and the famous International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach. The Campus Infrastructure Project improved vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow, provided adequate illumination across campus, and increased aesthetic appeal. Work was phased to allow the use of all campus facilities throughout construction.
