Established as an interior design firm in Old Town Alexandria in 1990, the founders were challenged by their clients' expanding projects. Interiors and kitchens became additions. Additions became new homes. Responding to these needs, the principals expanded their expertise and continued their education. Maura Marshall Powell, Founder and Lead Designer, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from Brown University and a Master’s Degree in Landscape Design from George Washington University. She is a Class A Contractor and a LEED Accredited Professional.
