Diebold, SE Sowlat has a Masters of Science degree and a Bachelor of Science degree, both in Structural Engineering, from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Diebold has a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, a Masters degree in structural engineering, and an MBA, all from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Sowlat and Diebold began their careers with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in 1980 and 1984, respectively. In the early 1990s, Sowlat and Diebold, while with Epstein, served as chief structural engineers for McCormick Place South Hall and for Chicago Midway Airport.
