Landscape Architect Adam Southwell brings over a decade of experience to Southwell Design. Drawing on his love of people, animals, nature (and coffee) in all that he does, Adam was born to be a Landscape Architect in North Carolina. From a young age, he has always had a strong connection with art and the outdoors. This passion led him to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Design and Horticultural Science from North Carolina State University (go Pack!), and has since fueled his desire for knowledge and experience. Adam’s industry experience began, in college, as an installation crew person and grew to project manager of a Raleigh landscape company. Upon graduating, he gained years of professional experience as lead designer and estimator for an award winning design, build, manage firm. Adam worked for over eight years creating environmentally responsive landscape designs, irrigation designs, lighting designs, residential and commercial master plans, and cost estimates for one of the Triangle areas leading landscape firms. This diverse experience in the industry allows him to visualize projects from multiple perspectives and deliver solutions that are creative, inspiring, and sustainable.
