We are an architecture firm based in Mebane, North Carolina. Founded in 2017, Flock D+A is a an unapologetically inclusive and affirming design firm that provides, architecture, programming, feasibility design, and community organizing services to the communities of Durham, Orange, Alamance, Rockingham, Guilford, Chatham, and Wake Counties. We have over 22 years of experience in architecture and a diverse resume in framing, plumbing, theater design, professional baking, and public art. Because of our own diverse background, we like to work with a varied and often unconventional group of builders, material makers, craftspeople, art-makers, recyclers, thinkers, researchers, and clients. We’ve found that an open heart and an open mind let us create unique design solutions that are both adaptable and maintainable and that feed sustainable conversations with our community. We have strong ties to our community in North Carolina and think of each project as a neighborhood project and a part of our own narrative. Our designs are a conversation with our community and our community is our work.
