CSBO was founded in 2001 by Carlos Sanchez and Beatriz Ospino as a business corporation to provide assistance in design services for residential and commercial projects. Carlos’ architectural background from Colombia and Ireland, has allowed him to apply his knowledge to manage and design projects both abroad including Colombia, Ireland and England, and locally within many US states including Al, DC, GA, NC, MA, SC, TN, and VA. His vast architectural experience varies from multi-family and affordable housing (LIHTC) projects to education, mix-use, retail centers, hotels and condominiums, and extensive work with senior living projects. His creative designs and innovative ideas have been recognized with design awards both in Colombia and the USA. For the past several years Carlos has been dedicated to designing residential, affordable and senior housing projects, providing the community with great places to live and enjoy. Carlos is currently a registered Architect in NC, SC and GA, and maintains a NCARB certificate which allows him to register in other states. He is also an AIA member since 2002, LEED Accredited Professional, USGBC member, SCA member and serves on JDRF Piedmont Triad Chapter board of directors. Carlos upgraded his 15-year-old Corporation to a North Carolina Professional Corporation in early 2016 to keep providing his clients with architectural and planning design services.
