Iskalo Development Corp. was founded in 1988 by Paul Bohdan Iskalo. As a life-long resident of Western New York, Paul is committed to contributing to positive change in his hometown. While attending the University of Rochester, Paul acquired his first commercial property in Williamsville, NY. This purchase further fueled his passion for real estate leading to the formation of Iskalo Development Corp. in 1986. Iskalo Development invests in real estate, increasing its roster of tenants which eventually led to its first ground-up real estate development project; a Class “A” office building located at 6467 Main Street that serves as the headquarters for publicly-traded Life Storage. As the years have progressed, projects undertaken by Paul and Iskalo Development have grown in scale and scope. Today, the real estate portfolio is diverse, consisting of all major asset classes including corporate office, medical office, light industrial, hospitality, retail and multi-family. Notable Iskalo projects include the historic Electric Tower in downtown Buffalo, Hamburg Village Square in the Village of Hamburg, and the Amherst Hospitality Campus featuring Reikart House, Jazzboline and Hyatt Place located in the Town of Amherst. In 2014, Paul extended his entrepreneurial talent outside of real estate when he became a co-founder of Big Ditch Brewing Co., Inc. Named after the Erie Canal, an 18th century marvel of engineering, Big Ditch Brewing quickly gained traction in the market with its strong brand, innovative beers and highly successful tap room. Working closely with co-founders Matt Kahn and Corey Catalano, and supported by Iskalo Development Corp, Big Ditch has grown to become one of the largest craft breweries in New York State.
