Transform your Milton home with Techo-Bloc Greyed Nickel and Unilock Basalt accents. A sleek, modern entrance featuring a stunning Japanese maple.
This Milton residence showcases how high-quality hardscape materials can be used to create a durable, low-maintenance, and aesthetically striking front entrance. The project prioritizes clean lines and a monochromatic "Greyed Nickel" and "Basalt" color palette to modernize the home's traditional brick facade.
Material Selection
The project utilized a curated mix of premium stone products:
• Paving: The main walkway features Techo-Bloc Blu 60 slabs in Greyed Nickel, providing a smooth, pedestrian-friendly surface.
• Accents: A recessed inner border of Unilock Copethorne (Basalt) offers a historical cobblestone feel with a modern color twist.
• Vertical Elements: The pillars were constructed using Raffinato blocks, while the Graphix Wall provides a unique, staggered relief pattern that catches the light throughout the day.
• Natural Stone: The porch was capped with Banas Stone Kota Black, ensuring a slip-resistant and long-lasting landing.
Softscape & Drainage
To balance the hard masonry, we integrated a minimalist planting plan. A Japanese Maple provides a splash of organic color and serves as a specimen tree, while Boxwoods and Yews offer evergreen structure that requires minimal water once established. The use of dark river stone over the garden beds not only complements the Basalt accents but also assists with soil moisture retention and weed suppression.
This design proves that you don't need a massive footprint to make a massive impact on a home's exterior identity.
