Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty is an industry-leading real estate brokerage specializing in luxury real estate in Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho. As the largest and most successful real estate brokerage in the region, Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty has an in-depth understanding of the local real estate market and enduring ties throughout Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho. We are proud of our brokerage’s long and prosperous history in Jackson Hole, spanning more than 80 years from our founding in 1935 by broker Mike Yokel as Jackson Hole Realty—the first established real estate brokerage in the valley. In 1963 the brokerage became a subsidiary of the Jackson Hole Ski Corporation with Paul McCollister as broker, two agents, and a single office located at the base of the iconic Clock Tower—directly entwining our own history with that of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The late 70’s and early 80’s ushered in the brokerage’s move into town, and a merger with Hoke Tice Realty in 1983, commencing a new chapter in the valley’s real estate history. Between 1983 and 2002 Jackson Hole Realty grew with the market—from 22 to 84 agents, 16 additional partners and satellite offices across the valley and over Teton Pass in Driggs, Idaho. Jackson Hole Realty was purchased by Sotheby’s International Realty in 2005 and began operating as Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty. As a part of the Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate network, our brokerage provides access to buyers and sellers of luxury real estate worldwide. Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty continues to lead the way in Jackson Hole real estate sales in Teton County and proudly sells more real estate by sales volume than any other brokerage in Jackson Hole. With more than 60 years of history in Teton Village, and featuring four dedicated sales offices, our brokerage sells more real estate in Teton Village than all other brokerages combined. Considering calling Jackson Hole home? The benefits of residency in Jackson Hole are numerous, not the least of which being Wyoming’s consistent ranking among the most tax-friendly states in the country. The state’s dismissal of corporate and individual income tax, lack of estate tax and low sales tax secured its top rank in The Tax Foundation’s State Business Tax Climate Index.
