In the year 1900, Soren N. Jacobsen started building Iowa farm houses for $1.00 a day. Following the 1906 earthquake, he moved to San Francisco to help rebuild the city. Eventually, Soren’s talents would lead him to the Salt Lake Valley, where his commitment to client satisfaction would result in rapid business growth. When his sons became partners, Jacobsen Construction grew even faster. Soren built the company on a foundation of hard work, determination and integrity. Soren’s legacy continues to inspire our more than 700 employees to carry that passion forward.
