With write-ups in Gizmag, Inhabitat, Tiny House Design, FastCoExist and well, too many other places to recount, one could say it's clear that the green building world is enamoured with this Tiny House gem, and so are we. What's not to love: NOMAD Micro Homes are sustainably manufactured, easy to assemble, affordable, and off-grid capable.

Manufactured in British Columbia by those friendly friendly Canadians, The NOMAD micro home is a pre-fabricated Tiny House kit. Light enough to be shipped anywhere in the world, these flat-packed houses can be assembled with nothing more than a drill, a friend and "handyman" level carpentry skills.

This is very much a Tiny House for permanent siting, rather than a Tiny Home on Wheels for Sale

From their old indiegogo site:

"With a cool factor set at maximum, this groundbreaking tiny house is flat-packed in a box that's ready for shipment anywhere on the planet and is easily assembled by our purchasers. Living room, kitchen, bathroom, stair, and sleeping area are all seamlessly integrated into a 10' x 10' space.

Priced at under $39,000 for the base model, or just $3800 down, NOMAD’s goal is to reduce consumerism and focus on an affordable and sustainable housing option for the largest portion of our society: hard-working individuals who can't make ends meet due to the high cost of living. Adding our pre-engineered green packages for solar energy, rainwater collection and grey water treatment can take NOMADs right off the grid."

The folks at NOMAD Micro Home want to make high-performance, low impact housing affordable to the masses. Their indiegogo crowdfunding campaign helped them do exactly that.
