View on the Lake reimagines an older house on the lakeshore, increasing its living space and creating a sense of place. The chosen strategy was to create a new floor in the attic, creating a cozy cottage ambiance. The windows were optimised and a double-height space overlooking Lake Saint-Louis was created to flood the indoor spaces with natural light. The space continues outside onto a generous terrace beneath a pergola that controls the solar gain inside the house.
